Coleus forskohlii of the family Lamiaceae (alternate name of Plectranthus barbatus) is traditionally used in Ayurveda (Ayurvedic medicine) for various cardiovascular, gastrointestinal, and central nervous system ailments. It also has some implications in lung health and urinary health. The main bioactive ingredient in Coleus forskohlii is called forskolin.
